Logging In
Enter your 6-digit subscriber ID and 4-digit security code when prompted. After your first call, the system remembers your number — you’ll only need to re-enter your codes when calling from a different phone.

The service holds the current day, yesterday’s edition, and the most recent Sunday edition of each newspaper. For magazines, it holds the current and previous issue.

Email note: Pressing #, 9 prompts you to choose 2 for the current article, 3 for the current section, or 4 for the full paper or magazine. Individual articles arrive in the email body as plain text. Sections and full papers arrive as a .ZIP attachment in DAISY format — unzip using your subscriber ID and security code as the password (format: 123456-9876). You must have a valid email address on your account. Call 1-866-504-7300 to add or update your email address.

Favorites and My Newspaper
Favorites let you access your preferred papers and magazines quickly. My Newspaper is a custom publication you build from sections across multiple papers — for example, sports from one paper, business from another, and local news from a third.
To set up Favorites
Press 0 from the main menu → 6 → follow prompts to add, delete, or explore.
To set up My Newspaper
Press 0 from the main menu → 5 → follow prompts to add, delete, or explore sections.

Spell Mode
While reading an article, press #, 5 to pause and enter Spell Mode. The system reads the word you’ve paused on. Use the keypad to select the word and press 2 to have it spelled letter by letter. Press * to return to the article.

Search Mode
Press # twice while reading to search within the current publication. Enter your search word or phrase using two-digit numeric codes (see chart below), then press 99 to begin the search. Press 3 to jump to the next occurrence, 1 to go back.

Global Search
From the main menu, press 0 → 4 → 8 to search across all publications and articles at once.
Emergency Weather Alerts
If there is an active weather alert for your area when you log in, you’ll hear an announcement immediately. Press 1 to hear the full alert, 2 to skip and go straight to NEWSLINE.
Keep your address and zip code current on your account so alerts are properly localized. To update: press 0 from the main menu → 9 → 1. Or call 1-866-504-7300.
Note: NFB-NEWSLINE weather alerts should be used alongside other emergency alert systems, not as your only source.
TV Listings
Press 8 from the main menu. The first time, you’ll enter your zip code, service provider, and time zone.

To set up Favorite channels, press 5 from the TV Listings menu and follow the prompts.
Job Listings
Press 9 from the main menu. Choose 1 for CareerBuilder or 2 for USAJobs. Set up a search profile with zip code, distance (5–150 miles), job category, education level, employment type, and salary range. Profiles are saved for future calls. Press 1 and 3 to move through listings; press #, 9 to email a listing to yourself.
