NFB-NEWSLINE Hawaiʻi is built for people who cannot read standard print. Our website is held to the same standard as our service.
Conformance status
This site is designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That covers text contrast, keyboard operation, screen reader support, resizable text, and clear focus indicators.
What we have done
Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visible.
Body text is 20 pixels by default, and all text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast ratio.
Headings follow a single logical order, so screen reader users can navigate by heading.
Command reference tables are real tables with row headers, not pictures of tables.
Nothing moves, flashes, or plays automatically.
Phone numbers and email addresses are links you can activate directly.
The site works at 200% zoom and at 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling.
Telling us about a problem
If any part of this site is difficult to use, please tell us. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and fix them.
